Are you a polite and enthusiastic person with excellent administrative skills? If so, we would welcome your application to join the team at St Hugh’s School, as a School Receptionist. This role is pivotal as you will act as the first point of contact for parents and visitors to the school as well as supporting colleagues and pupils throughout the school day.
The hours of work are 25 a week during term time. Working pattern 1.00pm to 6.00pm Monday to Friday inclusive. In addition, all INSET days and a further two full days at the end of each term (six in total), to be worked at the start of the School holidays.
You will be responsible for the efficient and effective running of the school reception, as well as supporting all departments with wider administrative functions. The successful candidate will be welcomed into an enthusiastic, friendly and hard-working team.
St Hugh's is a highly regarded coeducational day and boarding school. We are situated on a beautiful green campus of 65 acres in the South Oxfordshire countryside, only 25 minutes from Central Oxford. In June 2025, the Headmaster and Governors announced that St Hugh’s would be opening a Senior School in September 2026. It is a very exciting time to be joining St Hugh’s.
