Principal Accompanist and Music Class Teacher

We are looking to recruit an outstanding, experienced and inspiring Principal Accompanist and Music Class Teacher to join our successful music department
We are looking to recruit an outstanding, experienced and inspiring Principal Accompanist and Music Class Teacher to join our successful music department. This is a pivotal role combining high-level music accompaniment with class music teaching responsibilities, supporting the artistic development of our children and contributing to the overall quality and ethos of the School. Initially the role is for a fixed term contract of one year.
The post holder will report directly to the Director of Music. This is a part-time position (50% FTE), working across 3-4 days a week.
In addition, you will support the music department with the administration in planning and organising music exams.
St Hugh's is a highly regarded coeducational day and boarding school. We are situated on a beautiful green campus of 65 acres in the South Oxfordshire countryside, only 25 minutes from Central Oxford. In June 2025, the Headmaster and Governors announced that St Hugh’s would be opening a Senior School in September 2026. It is a very exciting time to be joining St Hugh’s.
