Fashion Designer in Residence

The Fashion Designer in Residence will play a key role in supporting students as they transform their design ideas into garments or textile sculptures, guided by their chosen sub-themes.
Key Responsibilities
TECHNICAL SUPPORT - Assist teaching staff with technical support of Fashion and Textiles to pupils aged 11-18 during the school day.
FASHION SHOW Undertake role of Assistant Producer. - Assist with planning and delivery (as directed).
EXHIBITIONS - To assist with display (as directed).
RAISING THE PROFILE OF THE SCHOOL - Organise Fashion & Textiles internal, local, national, and international competitions for students. Attend Open Mornings when required.
EXTENDED OPPORTUNITIES - Run two Textiles Clubs per week and support the Art Clinic for pupils aged 14-18.
SUPPORT DEPARTMENTAL PRACTICE AND INITIATIVES - Attend departmental meetings, cover lessons for absent colleagues, support day trips, and invigilation when required.
WHOLE SCHOOL RESPONSIBILITIES - There will be some evening duties attached to this role.
SCHOOL CULTURE - Support the School's values and ethos by contributing to the development and implementation of policies, practices and procedures. Help create a strong community, characterised by consistent, orderly behaviour and caring, respectful relationships.
