SEN Teaching Assistant (KS3)

We require a SEN teaching assistant to support a KS3 pupil within all lessons across the curriculum. Relevant SEN experience is essential. The role is required from 9am - 4pm daily, during term time only.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide individualised support to a student with special educational needs, fostering their academic and personal growth.

Reporting to the lead teacher, your core skills in special education and experience with children will be essential in creating a nurturing learning environment. Your premium skills in teaching and working with individuals with autism will enhance the educational experience, while your relevant skills in communication will facilitate effective interactions. Responsibilities

Assist students with special education needs in their daily activities and learning tasks.

Provide individualised support to children, particularly those with autism, to enhance their educational experience.

Foster a positive and inclusive environment through effective communication and engagement.

Collaborate with teachers and parents to develop tailored strategies for each child's development.

Monitor and document student progress, adapting approaches as necessary to meet their unique needs.

Qualifications

Experience working with children and supporting special educational needs

Strong understanding of teaching methodologies and practices

Familiarity with autism spectrum disorders and strategies for support

Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with students and staff

Ability to adapt teaching techniques to meet individual student needs
