Lunchtime Assistant

Auckland College is seeking a dedicated and reliable Lunchtime Assistant to join our team and support the supervision and care of pupils during the school lunch period.

Hours of Work:

15 hours per week

Monday to Friday, 11.30am – 2.30pm

Term time and non-term time

Main Duties:

Supervise pupils in the dining hall, playground and other areas as required

Promote a safe, positive and inclusive environment for all pupils

Support children with mealtime routines and encourage healthy eating

Assist with managing behaviour in line with school policies

Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of dining and play areas

Person Specification:

Experience of working with or caring for children (desirable but not essential)

Ability to work as part of a team and build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues

A calm, caring and approachable manner

Commitment to the safeguarding and wellbeing of children and young people
