Teacher of Games (with additional subject specialism) 0.8 FTE

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and dedicated teacher to take an active role in one of the school’s most popular subjects, working alongside a talented and supportive team.

The successful candidate will:

· Fully support the Games department in coaching and refereeing at sporting fixtures (notable responsibilities in Rugby, Football and Cricket).

· Understand that the Games department works flexible hours to accommodate a broad and successful sporting calendar.

· Ability to teach Games throughout the School from Year 5 to Year 11.

· Have a proven track record of successful classroom teaching across a range of Key Stages.

· Maintain the highest academic standards and best practice in their professionalism.

· Ensure that the curriculum is delivered in accordance with the Aims and Ethos of the School and with due attention to School policies, particularly Curriculum Policy and Marking Policy.

· Desirable - Expertise in Rugby.

· Desirable - experience in teaching English and/or Mathematics

· Desirable - drive a 16 seater minibus to and from sporting fixtures with other schools.
