Teaching Assistant - EYFS

We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our Early Years team. This is a full time position, which is temporary, in the first instance, until July 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to support our youngest learners as they take their first steps in education, helping them develop curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning.

The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and EYFS team to create a stimulating, safe, and inclusive environment where every child can thrive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality learning experiences in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Assist with planning, setting up, and leading engaging play-based activities.
  • Provide individual and small-group support to help children develop key skills.
  • Observe and record children’s progress, contributing to assessments and reports.
  • Promote positive behaviour, wellbeing, and inclusion for all children.
  • Build strong relationships with children, staff, and parents/carers.
  • Help to maintain a clean, safe, and organised learning environment.
