Facilities Management Assistant

We are looking for a helpful, reliable, and proactive person to assist our facilities team.

Dulwich Prep & Senior offers an exciting and inspiring work environment. With more than 800 pupils and 200 staff, it has been the largest boys’ prep school in the UK and is nestled in one of the most picturesque areas of London, the world’s most cosmopolitan city. Our recent expansion includes the opening of our Senior Section in September 2025, allowing boys to stay with us through the completion of their GCSE studies.

We are looking for a helpful, reliable, and proactive person to assist our facilities team. In this role, you will help ensure the smooth daily operation and upkeep of the entire school site, including a dedicated Early Years site, sports pavilions, and a swimming pool. Your responsibilities will include welcoming and assisting facility hirers, porterage, basic maintenance tasks, and securing the premises.

We value flexibility and a positive approach to changing priorities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to work independently while also sharing expertise and supporting colleagues to foster best practices across the team. A commitment to maintaining high standards in all aspects of your work is essential.

A full UK driving license (including manual vehicles) is required, along with a basic aptitude for general maintenance and handyman tasks. The ability to swim and drive a mini-bus would be helpful.

Working hours will be as set out below, and there is an additional annual allowance of £2,575 in consideration of the unsociable (weekend) working hours.

  • Saturday: 7.00am to 6.00pm
  • Sunday: 10.00am to 4.00pm or 9.00am to 3.00pm
  • Monday: 1.00pm to 10.00pm
