1:1 Pupil Specific Teaching Assistant (KS1)

Opportunity to work in a well-loved Prep School in a KS1 classroom as a pupil specific 1:1 TA.
We are looking for an experienced 1:1 pupil specific teaching assistant to join the Notre Dame Prep School team. The 1:1 would involve working closely with the class teacher and specific SEND pupil in a whole class environment. This post is a funded 1:1 and so is dependent upon Norfolk County Council funding in line with the EHCP requirements.
Working hours are 8.30-3.30pm Monday to Friday during term time, with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break. There may be additional opportunities to work in our after school and holiday clubs.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is reliable and experienced in supporting SEND children in their learning
- Is able to support children with additional needs and with an Education Health Care Plan (EHCP)
- Can quickly establish positive relationships with individual children and their parents
- Has high expectations of behaviour
- Can support learning in the classroom, in small groups and 1:1
- Has good Literacy and Numeracy skills
- Is willing to contribute to the wider community of the school
