Beehive Preparatory School, an independent co-educational school for pupils aged 2½ to 11, is seeking an inspirational and dynamic Headteacher to lead the school into its next exciting chapter—its centenary year and beyond.
We are proud of our nurturing, family-oriented ethos and our strong academic tradition, particularly in preparing pupils for the competitive North London and Essex 11+ examinations. As we look ahead to the next 100 years, we are seeking a leader who can honour our heritage while also driving growth and innovation.
The ideal candidate will:
Have a proven track record of outstanding teaching in Upper Key Stage 2, with a deep understanding of the 11+ entrance process in North London and Essex.
Be experienced in ISI inspections, with a sound understanding of compliance and excellence in independent schooling.
Be a strategic thinker with the ability to grow the school’s pupil roll and enhance its visibility as we expand through Beehive International.
Be capable of leading the school through the development and launch of a new Middle School section, including curriculum design, staffing, and preparation of all documentation required for DfE approval.
Be digitally savvy, with the capability and enthusiasm to build the school’s online presence to reflect our academic success and warm school culture.
Bring a collaborative, approachable leadership style with excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire staff, pupils, and parents alike.
Have a good sense of humour, humility, and a genuine passion for delivering a well-rounded, high-quality preparatory education.
